Field Training for the Atlantic and Gulf Coastal Plain Regional Supplement
The American Water Resources Association of Delaware (DEAWRA) hosted a wetland delineation training session. Phil King of USDA and Mike Green of USACE demonstrated field applications of hydric soil, hydrophytic vegetation and hydrology indicators described in the supplement. This training is designed for wetland delineators already trained and experienced in the 1987 Manual who want to learn how to apply the indicators in the new supplement. Also in attendance was Andrew Howard from DNREC Watershed Assessment Section to answer questions on rapid assessment methods.
